Message Here's what I see: You didn't hear what you wanted to hear and your reaction is to say: "If this is the general feedback that any other original ideas would spur, I can see why anyone would fear posting any new ideas at all." That's utter nonsense.

TheTwinZ(Peru) didn't get all bent out of shape when he asked for feedback on his front and rear fascias. He received positive and negative responses to his proposals and he took it all in stride. There are other examples but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

What I don't understand is that if you feel so strongly about doing this, then why do you care what people on this (or any other) forum say? If you think it looks good or enhances the appearance of your car, then do it and be prepared for a full spectrum of reactions. Take the good, ignore the bad...plain and simple. You'll see similar reactions towards widebody conversions and that hasn't stopped people from doing it.

There's a level of (brutal) honesty here that you will not find elsewhere. If you cope with it (and I hope you do), good. If you can't cope with it, ask for a refund on the subscription fees and be on your way.

Try the tucked wireloom idea and I bet you will see a different response. If that's achievable, it should be a good idea that I'm sure others will follow. Then again, I'm not sure where you're going to route wires in the cramped engine compartment and not risk melted or chafed wires, but that's strictly speculation on my part.

Good luck,

Dave
